Simply stated, I have a true love for people, and so believe that great photography happens from the inside out. To Amy Hoga Photography, the most beneficial element in obtaining the very best portraits is without a doubt being able to establish a sincere connection to you as an individual while taking your children's photography. Even before the active photographic process begins, we take many extra steps towards finding out your hidden artistic desires and acknowledging the comfort zone that will best represent your characteristics and personal style.

To us, portraiture is a Fine Art Service, one that requires strong technical skill as well as creativity. We endevour to capture the moments and allow true feelings and emotions to shine through...for that magical energy is the essence of modern portraiture. We will ask you to play, have fun & connect as a family to allow your natural beauty to shine from within. We shoot in a very casual fashion-- allowing the children to explore, relax, and just be themselves. Please allow 1-3 hours for your session for this process to be its best! Amy Hoga Photography in St Louis, MO was founded on the belief that a portrait should, above all, capture the spirit, evoke emotion, and stir the heart.
Our photography preferences include the use of mostly natural and available light and love working out of your home--as children are most comfortable in their own environment. We like a mixture of urban and classic, contemporary and simplistic, ethereal and rustic. We offer "classic photography", but not "traditional photography". We don't seek out the 'traditional smile', the 'perfectly centered image', the 'perfect pose' and you will never hear us say "cheese." We go after the real moments that matter & you will treasure long after the session is over…
