I get numerous emails everyday asking the question…what do we wear for our photo shoot???  It is such an important question because the right look can make the photograph really special and unique…First of all, I always tell my clients to be themselves–dress as you normally would–the days of stuffy “dressed-up” photo shoots are dead…We want life and energy in your family photos–and one great way to infuse this sense of fun is through the clothing you wear…Above, I have illustrated some looks from Boden that I think work really well.  Look for color threads–a color (or three) that are the same tone running throughout your family.  Picture #1 we have a pink/orange/purple thread that looks textured, put together and fun…Pic #2 we have a yellow/green/orange thread that is a bit classier, but still fun!  Please stay away from distracting logos and the 1990′s matchy matchy let’s all wear the same thing look…That is really dated and won’t translate well onto your images…We want to see you and have your personalities shine through:)  Think coordination instead of matching…

This is the lovely Jen…She is so glowing & gorgeous pregnant…I had a blast during our session & I will be photographing her birth in a few short days—we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be sooner than later…She is planning a quiet homebirth w/ a midwife…I am really excited and honored to be a small part of her new family…Congrat Jen, you are beautiful!!!
